About This Project

2 WEEK TRIP – Barcelona, Mediterranean Cruise and Amalfi Coast
 
Dear Julie and Jim,
 
We cannot begin to thank you enough for planning our 30th anniversary trip. A trip of a lifetime!
 

It was absolutely the most fabulous trip we’ve ever been on and will surely provide us with amazing memories for years to come.

 
Barcelona, Spain was the perfect way to start off the trip. We met up with 12 of our favorite people in the world and enjoyed all that the beautiful city had to offer! What a vibrant, clean and fun city. The dinner at the specialty restaurant in downtown Barcelona you reserved for us, featuring authentic cuisine, was the best way to kick off our first night together as a group. As you can imagine, the joy and laughter at our table was contagious and the Paella was incredible! The Hotel Casa Fuster was first class and right in the heart of the city.
 
The Oceana Riviera cruise ship was our next big treat! What a ship and what a cruise line! We’ve been on other cruises but none were as nice as this! We loved the “smaller” luxury ship which was much more intimate while still providing all of the “fun” aspects (i.e. dancing, night life, gambling, etc.) that you want in a cruise. The staff was so amazing as well and met our every need before we could even anticipate it. We became fast friends with every crew member we encountered because they were all so friendly, kind, helpful and truly at our service. We were even welcomed on board with a nice bottle of champagne from Oceana!
 
Of course our personal highlight of the cruise experience was during our first night dining as a group.
 

We were surprise serenaded by several members of the crew who sang the song “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” which is a family favorite anniversary song!

 
They also presented us with the most rich and delicious chocolate cake that any of us had ever tasted! Thank you Julie and Jim for planning that extra special touch (along with the beautiful bottle of champagne that you also snuck in there)! We felt so incredibly spoiled and pampered!!
 
Our ports of call were absolutely wonderful and we truly felt that due to your perfectly planned excursions, we received the full European experience! Enjoying the personalized tours in the luxury vehicles was incredible! We are Italian and felt very much “at home” with the culture in Italy, but we also came back feeling we had become a little Spanish and French as well! Of course, we became fast friends with our tour guides as they were such warm and lovely people as well as being so incredibly knowledgeable. We never expected to learn as much as we did about the art, foods, wine and culture of these amazing places! We enjoyed every minute of each and every port but our favorite was Monte Carlo, Monaco. From the moment we woke up to the incredible view from our suite, we knew this port would be extra special. Touring the Monte Carlo Casino was something we never expected and was simply one of the countless “extras” we thank you for arranging. Many in our group even went back in the evening for some James Bond style gambling in the Casino and will never forget the experience!
 
When the cruise disembarked, we were left with a feeling of complete joy and satisfaction! A trip of a lifetime with 12 of our closest friends who we grew to love even more through our shared experience! Thank you also for making hotel arrangements for us as we continued our trip by visiting the gorgeous Amalfi Coast and Isle of Capri. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful cuisine and breathtaking views of Southern Italy.
 

This thank you note could go on for 10 more pages and we still could not thank you enough for all of the perfect planning and execution of this trip.

 
Just like the incredible Hawaii trip you planned for us three years ago, this far exceeded our expectations and gave us the European experience we had dreamed of! We hope to someday be fortunate enough to be able to travel to other exotic locales and, of course, Amaze Travel will be the very first phone call we make!
