ABOUT THE OWNERS
Jim and Julie Welch create customized private travel for couples, families and multi-generation families. They have been travel partners for over 20 years and now enjoy traveling often with their young daughter and son who both earned their first passport stamp before age one. Clients include CEO’s, executives, family offices, and sports and entertainment personalities. Together they were finalists to host their own travel show on a prominent cable travel channel. They have been seen on WDIV-NBC & WXYZ-ABC, and have been featured in the Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune & Crain’s Detroit.

Julie’s passion for travel began when she studied Spanish through school. This inspired an increasingly inquisitive nature about foreign places and people. Since then, she’s lived abroad in Latin America and traveled extensively, seeking new and different encounters all over the world. Continuing to engage in new places, she is driven by finding extraordinary experiences to help travelers make unique connections. She believes that travel is personal, and if approached thoughtfully, can truly transport us. Julie’s expertise circles the globe with distinctions in travel to Africa, Australia, Europe, and South America.
JIM WELCH

Jim has been traveling internationally since he was 9 years old when he attended the Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. While there he and his family met his soon to be adopted little brother in a local orphanage. While traveling in Rome with family and a very close friend and Catholic priest, Jim experienced unparalleled behind the scenes views of the Vatican City. This culminated with the extremely rare opportunity to have private morning mass with Saint Pope John Paul II in his Papal residence chapel. Making meaningful connections like these inspires Jim’s personalized itineraries. While he sends people around the world, he has special expertise in Italy, Spain, Africa, and Alaska.
