Amaze Travel’s Classic England is our journey which takes you from the cosmopolitan streets of London, to the rolling hills and small villages of the Cotswolds. The trip begins in Belgravia at one of the finest London hotels, continues to the Roman town of Bath before ending at a stately home with over 350 years of history. This journey is wonderful for multi-generation families, or couples seeking to see what England has to offer.

Day 1: Arrive London
Touch down into London where your driver greets and delivers you to your iconic London accommodation, The Goring Hotel. This afternoon enjoy a walking tour of the Belgravia area to get a sense of the history that helped this area to be the most upscale and wealthy neighborhood in London. As the sun is setting across the vast metropolis of London, you will visit the London Eye. Aboard your enclosed pod, sip Champagne and enjoy the views of the surroundings. Your guide will point out landmarks on the skyline including Big Ben, St. Paul’s, Tower of London and more.

Day 2: Politics & A Play
Today head out to see some of the most iconic sights in London. Start the day visiting Westminster Abbey, site of the crowning of virtually king or queen since 1066. It is also the sight of burial for many notable figures such as Charles Dickens, Isaac Newton, and Oliver Cromwell to name a few. Continue to Buckingham Palace and witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony. A visit to the Churchill War Rooms will take you back in time to the 1940’s as Britain faced the fearsome German bombings. Your guide will lead you by Big Ben, Parliament and other highlights in London enlightening you with history and tales along the way. Tonight, experience the acclaimed theatre district and enjoy one of London’s fine plays.

Day 3: Castles & Cathedrals
Begin the day by visiting the Tower of London, one of the most famous castles in the world, best known for its prison for being the scene of executions. It is also known for the world-famous Crown Jewels where you can see the Imperial State Crown with a 317-carat diamond and assorted emeralds, rubies, and pearls. Continue to St. Paul’s Cathedral, which has proudly stood above the London skyline since the 1600’s. The Cathedral has hosted many important events, including the wedding of Prince Charles and beloved Princess Diana. Finally, conclude your tour exploring the Borough Market, one of the largest and oldest markets in London dating back to at least the 12th century.

Day 4: Royalty
Today brings you to two of Britain’s most famous Royal residences. You will start your day visiting Hampton Court Palace, made famous by Henry VIII who spent 5 of his 6 honeymoons here. With your private access to the property, start with a horse drawn carriage ride around the estate before viewing rooms of the palace that are not available to the public. Continue to Windsor Castle which is the world’s largest inhabited castle, and whose construction dates to the time of William the Conqueror. You will also visit St. George’s Chapel which is a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture. It has a long history of hosting Royal Weddings, mostly recently the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This evening enjoy your final night in London by returning to the theatre and seeing a special show.

Day 5: London - Bath via Stonehenge
Today you are met by your driver for your transfer to ancient Roman town of Bath. Along the way, you will stop to visit Stonehenge, the famous prehistoric monument. Archaeologists date the construction to as far back as 3000 BC, while the original uses for the site are still not completely determined. Check into your room at The Royal Crescent Hotel which is located within the famed and iconic Royal Crescent, a row of 30 terrace houses laid out in a sweeping crescent shape. Set off with your private guide for a walking tour of Bath. Founded by the Romans as a thermal spa and now recognized on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, delve into centuries of intriguing history.

Day 6: Cotswolds
This morning set out with your private driver to enjoy the picturesque countryside villages, beautiful gardens, bustling market towns and undulating rolling green hills of the Cotswolds! Locales such as Castle Combe, Bibury, The Slaughters and Chipping are all sure to delight and transport you back to the simpler times of rural England. Upon returning to Bath, we suggest concluding your relaxing day by enjoying the award winning spa facilities at the Royal Crescent.

Day 7: Cliveden
This morning enjoy a final spa service or walk around Bath before you are privately transferred to your final stop in England – the famed Cliveden House Hotel. The Cliveden sits on 376 acres of National Trust land and dates its history to 1666. It was restored to its splendor by the Astor family. Arrive in time to enjoy afternoon tea in The Great Hall.

Day 8: Leisure
Today is at your leisure to enjoy exploring the estate via one of its walking trails or its expansive gardens, or you may be active by lessons in archery, falconry, clay shooting and more. Perhaps decide to visit behind the brick walls of the garden to enjoy the spa facilities. This evening, to mark your final evening we have arranged for you to have a special private dinner at the property. There are several remarkable locales on sight to enjoy your exclusive dinner, and you can count yourselves among the famed likes of Chaplin, Churchill and Lennon that have entertained at Cliveden.

Day 9: Departure
Enjoy your final morning at the property which may include a relaxing walk on the grounds. In timing with your flight, you are met by your driver and privately transferred to the nearby London Heathrow airport.
