Arrive on your international flight into Shannon, the main airport in western Ireland. You are greeted at the airport by your local guide and privately escorted to your luxurious accommodation in the quaint village of Kenmare – an ideal base for touring the southwest of Ireland. This afternoon enjoy some of the estate activities at your disposal which includes many options such as falconry (have a real falcon land on your arm!), horseback riding, clay pigeon shooting, and kayaking along Kenmare Bay. This evening, the special house car, an impeccably restored 1936 vintage Buick, will be arranged for you to be driven into the village of Kenmare in style as you have dinner at one of the area’s finest restaurants.

One of Ireland’s best drives is around the Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the Ring of Kerry. Today, your private guide will show you the many highlights of the Ring of Kerry which includes gorgeous natural landscapes, seaside fishing villages, historic sights and of course many stories and famed tall tales. A very special experience awaits as you venture to the western end of the peninsula, as you will visit the UNESCO protected Skellig Islands. Only 180 people may visit the islands each day, which were originally used as a Christian monastery dating back to the 6th century. In more recent times, it served as the jaw dropping setting for the recent Star Wars trilogy.

As you are staying at Sheen Falls Lodge, a member of prestigious Relais & Chateaux, you are assured a fine experience when it comes to food and drink! Today you will have a multi-sensory culinary experience. You will start out by visiting Sheen Falls’ own smoke house where they expertly smoke salmon to mouthwatering perfection. You will see the process up close and learn the techniques used to create such excellent taste. You even have the option to join the resident fishing instructor at Sheen Falls and try your hand at catching your own salmon to be used for smoking. Next it is time to cleanse the palate and do a tasting of your choice – whether it be Irish whiskey, wine or gin. You will be expertly led through your tasting on the origins of each round is discussed as well as understanding the special techniques utilized to create the flavors you are tasting. This evening will be a special one to remember as we have secured for you the wine cellar for a private, multi-course tasting menu for dinner. As you descend the stairs to the candle-lit Sheen Falls cellar you will immediately realize that this will be a special final evening at the lodge.

This morning you will have time to enjoy a final activity on the estate. You will be met by your guide and driver for your transfer to Adare. As an upgraded special experience, we can arrange for helicopter transfer should guests wish which would allow for stunning views of southwest Ireland from the air as you depart Kenmare and head north to Adare. Upon arrival, to properly welcome and introduce you to the special Adare Manor you will get a chance to explore the 840-acre estate by horse drawn carriage. We can also arrange for a bottle of champagne or some warming Irish coffee to be onboard for your ride. Enjoy hearing about the history of Adare dating back to the Norman invasions of the 12th century as you settle into this very special property.

Today you will visit one of the iconic settings of Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher! On Ireland’s west coast, the cliffs have been shaped over time by the winds and waves of the Atlantic. The setting is depicted in postcards and photos around the world, but until you stand at the cliffs and smell the salty Atlantic air you will not appreciate how special they are. Your local guide will know the perfect Irish village for you to visit to enjoy lunch, and some shopping of authentic local products.

Today is all about exploring the activities that Adare Manor, the village of Adare and the surrounding area has to offer! Some of the favorite activities to choose from include archery, falconry, fishing and biking the Irish countryside. Adare is also world known for its championship golf course which is set to host the prestigious Ryder Cup competition in 2027. This afternoon, spa appointments have been made so that you can properly relax and rejuvenate. The Spa at Adare Manor has been recognized as one of Ireland’s top spas and you will personally experience why! This evening, we have arranged for you to visit The Wine Cellar at Adare Manor for a special whiskey tasting from a collection that includes over 160 rare bottles from around the world. This includes the special collaboration between Adare Manor and Midleton Distillery to create a propriety single pot still Irish Whiskey exclusive to the property.

Just to the east of Adare lays County Tipperary, named Irelands ‘Ancient East’. The county is famous for its ancient heritage sights, beautiful landscapes of mountains and lakes, castles and medieval villages. The Rock of Cashel is was once the seat of the Kings of Munster and was a center of early Christianity in Ireland. Irish legends also indicate the Rock of Cashel is from when St. Patrick banished Satan from a cave about 20 miles away and the rock landed in Cashel. For your final evening in Ireland, you will dine at The Oak Room. Adare Manor’s fine dining restaurant was recently awarded with a Michelin Star, denoting the high-quality experience that you will enjoy.

This morning enjoy a final walk around the estate or the village of Adare before packing your bags and checking out. Your driver will meet you at Adare Manor and privately transfer you to the Shannon airport for your departure flight.
